TSSC 2022 March Newsletter #3b March 10th – ENTERTAINMENT & OTHER NEWS
1 – Friday, March 11th – Cake Sale for the DEC Ukraine Appeal
Young local resident Rose Trayhorn would like to do something to help all those displaced by the appalling war in Ukraine. Consequently, she will be at our Tasburgh Sports & Social Club between 7pm and 9pm this Friday, March 11th selling a selection of homemade cupcakes, biscuits, rocky road, brownies etc.
All monies raised will go to the Disasters Emergency Committee [DEC] Ukraine Appeal.
This is a worthy cause that will touch many of us, so please come and support Rose in her endeavour to help those whose lives have been torn asunder by this vicious war.
2 – Saturday, March 19th – St Patrick’s Night
Music – The Bacon Butty Ceilidh Band
Food – Guinness & Beef Irish Stew with Creamy Mashed Potatoes and Soda Bread
Tickets – On sale NOW. Cost is £7.50 per head for adults, £5 per head for under 16’s [Note that these are the same prices as the last St. Patrick’s night event in March 2019.]
NOTE: Tickets are selling well – if you haven’t yet bought some and want to, you have up to Tuesday, next March 15th to buy them. After then, you will not be able to come and hope to get some food – everything is being cooked strictly to order, so this is your last call.
3 – 6 Nations Rugby on TV in the Club this weekend:
Friday, Mar 11th – Wales vs France, BBC 8.00pm kick-off,
Saturday, March 12th – Italy vs Scotland, ITV 2.15pm kick-off, followed by England vs Ireland, ITV 4.45 kick-off. Note that the Club will stay open until 6.30pm so you can watch all the match.
4 – Home POOL Matches in March Why not come down and give the team some support. Bar open from 7.30pm.
Today, March 10th –The TSSC Pool Team take on Hingham Sports & Social Club.
Thursday, March 24th –The TSSC Pool Team take on Long Stratton Queen’s Head.
6 – Friday, March 25th – Ross Stewart
TSSC favourite Ross is back for another night of excellent musical entertainment. As ever, admission is free and Standard Club prices apply.
